I’m excited about fall!  It was 101 degrees outside yesterday, and I was making these little fabric pumpkins.  I posted a photo of my first pumpkin on instagram, and everyone seemed to like it so I thought I would do a little tutorial for y’all.  My girls were fascinated as they watched me make a pumpkin out of toilet paper!  :)

You will need:
Fabric, about a 20×20 square
Toilet Paper
Embellishments – Sticks for the stem, ribbon, leaves, etc.
Stuffing – batting, tissue paper, plastic bags

Step 1 // Place your toilet paper roll in the center of your fabric square.  Surround the pumpkin with your choice of stuffing.  I used pillow batting since I have a plethora of that.  :)

Step 2 // Start stuffing.  Just bring the edges of the toilet paper up and start stuffing them in the center of the toilet paper roll.  For my first pumpkin I used burlap…it was a little more difficult to “stuff” in the center because of how bulky the fabric is, but I love how it turned out!

Step 3 // Adjust the sides and pleats on your pumpkin according to your liking.

Step 4 // Start embellishing!  I used ribbon and leaves I had on hand, but these would be super cute with burlap ribbon on them!

Enjoy your easy peasy pumpkins!
