One of the most important factors when purchasing an electric bike is comfort. If you're not comfortable on an eBike, chances are you're not going to enjoy riding it, which in turn means it'll probably end up sitting in the corner collecting dust. The Ride1Up Core 5 took comfort into consideration from its inception with it's 2.2” wide tires. These thick and wide tires provide a plush, almost cloud like feel while riding the bike over cracks and imperfections on the road surface. The Ride1Up Core 5 also has riser handlebars that put the rider in a comfortable riding position. Rather than leaning forward and placing excess weight on the riders arms, the riser bars allow the arms to rest while pedaling the bike.
Another factor that makes riding the Ride1Up Core 5 comfortable is the thumb throttle near the left hand grip. This thumb throttle allows the rider to cruise at up to 20mph without even using the pedals on the bike whatsoever. Of course you don't have to use the thumb throttle to propel the Ride1Up Core 5 eBike, you can choose any of the 5 pedal assist modes which will help you reach up to 28mph. While many riders find the stock seat on the Ride1Up Core 5 to be comfortable, Matt from TailHappyTV says he chose to swap it out for an even wider more plush seat for the bike. The unique frame geometry of the Core 5 makes it possible to fit a wide range of rider heights, from 5'4” up to 6'4”. The seat tube angle allows the seat to drop down much lower that a horizontal top tube, and the long seat post allows the bike to also fit extra tall riders.
